Hey!
#10

Your reference for pop art and contemporary creation!

Lowbrow art, the pictorial art movement that appeared in California at the end of the 70s, draws its inspiration from the popular and alternative culture of the 50s, 60s and 70s, breaking free from the period’s dominant streams of conceptual and intellectual thought. Cultivating melancholy with a sometimes sarcastic sense of humour, lowbrow artists adopt the iconography and codes used by popular media such as comics, advertisements, graffiti and cartoons, and place emphasis on their work’s immediate impact.

To follow on from Todd Schorr (Hey! #9 cover artist), Hey! #10 has the honour of featuring a few other key figures in the same movement, Marion Peck and The Clayton Brothers.
