    About City Hall

"Imagine a world where everything that is written comes to life": The French manga City Hall turned this premise into an incredible epic. In an alternate 20th century where writing has been forbidden because it had become dangerous, Jules Vernes and Arthur Conan Doyle help the police of City Hall investigate Black Fowl, a criminal who seems to have got papers out again to make the ink flow and spawning phantasmagorical creatures called papercuts… Find the steampunk saga in all its forms (graphic novels, games) in our shop!

    About Rémy Guérin

Rémi Guérin was born in 1979. His father introduced him to graphic novels from an early age with Scrameustache, Spirou, Asterix, and above all Pif Gadget, he became a graphic novel fan again during his teen years, reading Lanfeust of Troy and Largo Winch. After studying cinema and communication, as well as some time at Apple, he started writing full-time with Les Véritables Légendes Urbaines as a co-story writer, then as the story writer for Explorers and Kookaburra Universe. But it was alongside Guillaume Lapeyre that he had his first major success working on City Hall. Then, with the journalist and animator Marcus, he co-wrote the story for a comic, L'Intrépide, and with Lorànt Deutsch, a historic graphic novel, Histoires de France. In 2015, he founded the Termites Factory transmedia writing studio with Olivier Peru, Nicolas Mitric, and Sylvain Dos Santos.

    About Guillaume Lapeyre

Guillaume Lapeyre was born in Sète in 1978. After a Baccalaureate in fine arts and two years studying law in Montpellier, he joined a graphic novel association in 1998. There, he met Elsa Brants, the colorist for his albums and his life partner. They worked together in particular on Les Chroniques de Magon, Les Contes du Korrigan, Les Contes de Brocéliande, and Okhéania. Guillaume Lapeyre met Rémi Guérin working on Explorers before the duo blossomed with City Hall, then L'Intrépide. In 2016, he joined François Descraques on the manga spin-off of the web-series Le Visiteur du Futur: La Brigade Temporelle.
